been done to that door way too many times... u practically pull it open lol

i rather take my time with, a slim jim, cuz this will cause the car to take in water when it rains

the 2 times i've been locked out of my car in my life, i did not happen to be carrying a steel rod... :-/ seems easier to call AAA and not damage the car anyway.

Or... spend 5 bux, and get a hide a key magnet and a spare key ahead of time,
and stick it under your car. A little common sense ahead of time goes along way.

Just bought the truck and no second key yet. It took a bit of finesse, but it worked! No damage to the truck, either. Saved me about 100 bucks since this is Saturday. Now my spare door opener [the only thing I got when I bought it] is safely hidden where I can get to it easy. Thanks!

thank you i had no money at time,
it worked

instead of having to carry around or buy a rod... you can simply unscrew your car antenna... and use that. Works everytime.

I was in Mexico, a long way from home, and I thought i was shit out of luck when I left my keys inside my Chevy Uplander. I was walking down the road, looking for a rock to smash my window, but found a 1/4 inch thick rod off a matress instead. Used a broken piece of wood as a wedge and unlocked my door with ease. Was happy as hell but uneasy that someone else could do it to my vehicle.

What do you do if you have a car that disconnects the unlock button when the doors are locked?

Thanks! I couldn't quite reach the lock button with my hanger, but the window button works too.

Wouldn't the key have to be in the on position for the window button to operate?

Hi some vehicles store the power to the window operators especially the ones with power windows so even when the key is of if you press the window button it rolls the window up or down
